a memorial service to remember

not that other memorial services are not worth remembering, but i did go a memorial service on friday, that stood out from others.
for one thing, we laughed. we were meant to laugh, and near enough everybody did. because we were celebrating the life of someone who had a great sense of humour and a naughty smile.
we also shed tears, as we had expected, because we realised that our friend, mom, mentor (feel free to add at will) was no longer with us.
but we remembered positively, and many of the congregation must have felt that she was nearby.
it was also an inspirational service, encouraging us all to be true to ourselves, to smile, to be generous with praise and not to be shy with criticism, delivered in the right manner.
long may our friend live 🙂
